Jacob Sikker Remin: Cheap, fat and open

“Cheap, fat and open” is an open source synthesiser by Danish media artist and musician Jacob Sikker Remin, designed to be open and hackable. Jacob Sikker Remin’s workshop at manSEDANse explores the posibilities of the synthesiser and all participants will walk away with a synth of their own. Consisting of different consumer goods and devices, this open-source instrument has, among other things, a one-and-a-half-octave keyboard and a sequencer. It is also possible to expand the synthesiser later.

Tanskalainen mediataiteilija ja muusikko Jacob Sikker Remin vetää manSEDANse-festivaalilla ”Cheap, fat and open” -syntetisaattorin rakennustyöpajan. Kyseessä on erilaisista kulutustavaroista ja -laitteista rakennettava avoimen koodin syntetisaattori, jossa on mm. puolentoista oktaavin koskettimisto ja sekvensseri. Syntetisaattoria voi myös myöhemmin laajentaa omien tarpeiden mukaan.
